Cherian LLP is now Cherian Harkins Dunham LLP!

Washington, DC January 1, 2026…The partners of Cherian LLP have announced that as of January 1, 2026, the firm is known as Cherian Harkins Dunham LLP, with a new website address at https://chdlaw.com.

In making the announcement, the firm said, “We are pleased to announce that Robert M. Harkins, Jr. and Thomas M. Dunham have become named partners in the firm. Bob and Tom have practiced Intellectual Property law along with firm founder Sunny Cherian for decades. They know the law and the players and are well-respected in major IP venues across the country, where they practice regularly.”

The firm was founded in 2015 with a focus on intellectual property litigation including patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and trademarks. The firm also has extensive experience representing clients in post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), including reissue proceedings, inter partes reviews (IPRs), post-grant reviews (PGRs), and ex parte re-examinations (EPRs). The firm also handles complicated trial matters and bet-the-company litigation.

Cherian Harkins Dunham is one of the few law firms that uses the same legal team in federal court, USPTO proceedings, and appeals. As a result, the team is able to provide a consistent and comprehensive legal strategy in parallel venues and execute on that strategy with maximum efficiency, saving clients time and money.
